Live in one of the following service areas: Benicia, Martinez, Pacheco, Concord, Clayton, Pleasant Hill , Antioch, Pittsburg, Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Orinda, Danville , Alamo, Diablo, Blackhawk,or San Ramon.
Have employment, educational experience, or background with pet care. For example, worked as dog walker/pet sitter, vet tech, groomer, volunteered at a shelter, dog trainer, dog/cat shows, etc. (please explain below)
Ability to provide at least a six month commitment.
Has daily access to wireless phone, internet, email, and printer.
Excellent customer service and communication skills (written and spoken) for interactions with pet owners
Excellent analytical skills to address a variety of situations
Ability to commit to a schedule, manage your own schedule, and complete & follow through on assigned visits
Ability to follow detailed instructions per client or office instruction
Physically capable of walking various breeds and sizes of dogs
Willingness to walk dogs in all kinds of weather
Willingness to clean up after pets
Bondable, insurable and can pass a comprehensive background check
Access to a reliable, insured vehicle, and willingness to travel within a 15 miles radius.
Availability weekends and holidays
Ability to do overnight house and pet sitting in the pet owners home
Have at least a high school diploma or GED
Ability to routinely lift up to 40-60 pounds, repeated bending, stooping, kneeling and squatting.
